Comprehensive Credit Professional Training Series
Developed in collaboration with the American Society of Credit & Collection Professionals (ASCCP), this course series is designed to provide comprehensive training for individuals in credit and collection professions. Program participants earn or maintain their Certified Professional Collector (CPC) or Certified Credit Professional (CCP) accreditation.

Training for Certified Professional Collectors (CPC) & Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)
Application for Certified Professional Collector (CPC) and Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designations typically require five years of on-the-job experience. But with successful completion of the CPC and CCP training modules and passing scores on all related exams — applicants are eligible for certification, with Credentialing Standards Board (CSB) approval, after one year of work experience in the business credit and/or collection fields.
Training for the Certified Professional Collector (CPC) & the Certified Credit Professional online, at your pace. Courses can be taken individually, and used for professional training or a series of courses can be taken to fulfill certification requirements for either the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or the Certified Professional Collector (CPC) accreditation. To meet eligibility requirements for accreditation, students must complete all courses in each module. In addition, certain core competencies are required for both the CPC and the CCP accreditations.
About the courses:
  • Each training course is approximately one (1) hour long.
  • Courses may be taken individually for training purposes or as a full series to fulfill CCP or CPC accreditation requirements.
    • To meet accreditation eligibility requirements, students must complete all courses in each module.
    • Additional core competencies are required for both CPC and CCP accreditation.
  • WCA uses Dropbox to deliver course recordings. A free download link will be provided with your course confirmation.

Rolling out a Credit Card Surcharge: Hot Topics & Best Practices (June 19, 2024; 9:00 am CT)

Card payments continue as the fastest-growing payment form in the B2B space. Card issuers continue to increase rewards to cardholders, and are marketing cards for companies to pay their supply chains. Visa and MasterCard have amended their rules to allow suppliers to surcharge the interchange fee. But with a nationwide surcharge rollout, suppliers have to consider 10 states that have enacted no-surcharge laws. In Canada, credit card companies are preparing to adopt surcharge rules as well.
