Related Wisconsin law governing alternative remedies for public projects (on which traditional construction liens are not provided)
Kohner, Man & Kailas (KMK) will offer practical tips to construction industry participants on how to preserve their lien rights, gather the information necessary to file a valid lien, and generally how to file the lien itself. Attendees will learn how to prepare themselves for the outset of a project, long before any payment issues arise, to increase the chances of collection. KMK will break down statutory requirements in terms non-lawyers can understand, provide lessons gleaned for actual Wisconsin court decisions, and illustrate everything with real-world examples taken from many years of experience dealing with debtors in the construction industry.
